It’s great to live in Brisbane. Unfortunately, people aren’t the only ones who think so. The pesky little single cell organism Gloeocapsa Magma also likes to put down roots here – and too often those “roots” are planted firmly in the roofs of our homes. You may not know Gloeocapsa Magma by name, but you’ve most likely seen this unwanted visitor in your neighbourhood especially during this time of year when the temperature rises; it’s the blue green algae that creates unsightly streaks on walls, driveways and home siding.
